What is Konjac:
Konjac is a traditional Japanese jelly-like health food, made from calcium hydroxide or oxide calcium a type of potato called “konnyaku potato”. The Konjac plant is native to Indonesia and is a kind of herbaceous perennial plant called “Amorphophallus Konjac”. Konjac potatoes are grown in Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan. The Japanese have been eating Konjac for over 1500 years. It was originally introduced to Japan as a medicine in the sixth century and has been eaten for almost 1500 years in Japan. It is a totally natural food.97% of Konjac is water and 3% is Glucomannan and is very rich in minerals.

The island produces some of the purest water in the world and this water filtered through volcanic rockland combined with the food grade Konjac to produce our high quality KUU Konjac Sponges.Our factory has been inspected and passes all the regulations for hygiene and working practices.They have conducted all the necessary tests such as microbial, pH alkalinity and composition tests to meet all UK, EU and Australian standards.
